In short: MonKey doesn't collect, sell or share your personal data. Everything you enter stays on your device, and the app doesn't ask for internet access.
Who we are
MonKey is a money manager app made by the MonKey team. This policy covers the MonKey app and this website, monkeyappy.com. If you have a question about it, write to support@monkeyappy.com.
What the app stores, and where
To work, MonKey keeps the information you enter:
- transactions, with their amounts, names, notes and dates
- accounts and their balances
- categories and tags
- your settings, such as the theme and default currency
All of it is saved in the app's private storage on your device. It is not sent to us or to anyone else, and we have no way to see it.
What we collect
Nothing. MonKey has no account or sign-up, and it does not request the internet permission, so it cannot send data off your device. It contains no advertising, analytics or crash-reporting tools, and no other third-party code that collects data.
Device backups
If backup is turned on in your device settings, Android may include MonKey's data in your device's backup to your Google account, as it does for other apps. That backup is run by Google under Google's privacy policy, and we can't access it. You can turn backup on or off in your device settings.
Permissions
MonKey doesn't ask for any special permissions, such as access to your contacts, location, camera, microphone or files.
Deleting your data
You are in control of your data. To delete it, clear MonKey's storage from your device's app settings, or uninstall the app, which removes its data from the device.
Children
MonKey isn't directed at children under 13. Because the app collects no data from anyone, it collects none from children either.
